Food: It’s What I Eat

If you are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram, there is no way of getting around the fact that I LOVE to cook (the plethora of food porn shamelessly draped on my wall proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt)!

One such friend suggested I start a food blog and/or YouTube cooking channel. For now, I’ve decided to blog.

First, a little back story:

I joke around that I am genetically engineered to know how to cook well because of my Filipino ancestry. Stereotypical? Not really. Food has always been an integral part of our culture. Food is a gift we bestow upon family, friends and strangers alike; it is our way of welcoming you, of showing we care. If you dare deny partaking of our fare, it is akin to blasphemy, I kid you not!

There are other reasons surrounding my culinary love affair. It is something in which I have the utmost confidence. With 40+ years experience, I will tackle any recipe thrown my way. 9 times out of 10 I’ll also add my own instinctive twist; my intuition has yet to fail me. Furthermore, as various health issues creep up along with my age lol, I’ve begun delving deeper into making/changing recipes that may be more conducive to a healthier style of living. Mind you, not everything I make is considered “healthy”, but I try. Besides, I believe one must occasionally surrender to decadence, all work and no play and whatnot.

Okay, enough with the blabbering… let’s get uh… cooking!

Disclaimer, I think?: this blog will not exclusively feature Filipino recipes.
